Introduction
Welcome to ecology for beginners. This blog will cover the foundations of environmental science which includes: ecology, conservation and environmental factors; however lets start with the basics what is ecology? An Ecosystem is defined as a community of various organisms interacting with each other and their habitat in a particular environment. In simple terms ecology is the study of the environment, specifically to look at the relationships between organisms and the habitats around them via flora, fauna, biotic and abiotic factors. To fully understand the relationships we look at single habitats or biomes which are split into two main areas flora and fauna: Fauna: animals Flora: trees and habitat around. By studying the ecosystem of a geographic area where plants, animals and other organisms including weather and landscapes work together we can understand how this bubble of life is co-dependent.
