Rainforests

Rainforests are one of the earths natural wonders and presently cover 12% of the earths land surface the largest being the Amazon rainforest which is one of only 7 in the world. From arial view the Amazon rainforest has a continuous tree canopy creating a large ecosystem below and essentially is a type of tropical woodland with an annule rainfall of 2540mm yearly. This biome thrives in a hot and wet area creating a humid climate with plenty of water for flora and fauna to thrive.
Rainforests are separated into 2 types tropical rainforests or temperate rainforests each offering habitats to different flora and fauna native to that region.

Tropical rainforests like the Amazon have humid climate surrounded by gigantic trees creating their own green house effect and a micro climate within the large canopy of the rainforest housed to thousands of species of flora, mossy ground with colourful birds, small fauna, insects and predator species all living in a large ecosystem with ample sunlight, rain and shelter.
